International Students
Non-U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Permanent
Residents must submit:
1. Application for Admission – Click here for the online
application information. Please Note: You must complete the
Non-U.S. Citizen section of the Online Application and indicate your visa
type (passport needed). The non-U.S. citizen section of the online application
is required.

3. Photo I.D. - Present original documents in person at
Jefferson State for photocopy. Examples include: unexpired I-94 card and
visa page, (and unexpired driver’s license, if applicable). Mailed copies
must be notarized.
4. Proof of High School Graduation - ONE of the
following is required. (Proceed to next requirement if you are transferring
to Jefferson State from another regionally accredited U.S. college or
university.)
A. High School Transcript - official
transcript from accredited U.S. high school with graduation date. OR…
B. ECE Evaluation - graduates of
non - U.S. high schools must submit educational documents to Educational
Credential Evaluators, Inc. for a “General” Report evaluation: 1.Complete
the online ECE Application form at
www.ece.org. 2.Print the completed form.
3.Mail ECE form, along with appropriate school documents and check or money
order, to ECE. On the form, be sure to request that one set of the report
results be sent directly from ECE to Jefferson State. Official ECE copies
only – no student copies accepted. For more detailed instructions about the

NOTE: If you wish to have international college/university
coursework considered for evaluation, you may request a “Catalog Match”
evaluation from ECE. Only “Catalog Match” evaluations will be accepted at
Jefferson State for consideration of transfer credit. Transfer credit is not
guaranteed. Course by Course evaluations will not be accepted.
5. Official Transcript(s) from U.S. Colleges and
Universities – (Required only for transfer students from U.S.
colleges/universities.) An official transcript must be sent from each
college/university you attended in the U.S. Official transcripts should be
sent directly from issuing institutions.
