Admissions
Transient Students
Transient students must submit an application for admission. A transient
letter or official transcript to document course prerequisites completed at
other institutions prior to enrollment in selected courses is also required.
A student in good standing enrolled at another college may apply for
admission to
Jefferson State to take classes that will transfer to their home
institution.
An application and a Transient Letter are required prior to registration.
The Transient Letter must list all courses that a student is eligible to
take. This letter guarantees the transferability of courses taken at
Jefferson State to the student's home institution.
Applicants are required to complete a new application and submit a Transient
Letter for each term attended.
Residency
Applicants who attended high school, college or received a GED outside the
state of Alabama may be assessed out-of-state tuition. For additional
information, please review the Application for Eligibility for In-State
Residency.
Note: Transient students are not eligible for Financial Aid.
