The Career and Job Resource Center, located in Lurleen Wallace Hall, can
help you find a job. There also is a Job Resource Area in the Learning
Resource Center at the Shelby-Hoover Campus. If you need help, call and
make an appointment for career advising and counseling. Current job
listings and employment information are available for graduates and
current students seeking employment.

prospective employer. Learn the three types of resumes and when to use
them. You can post resumes with the Career Center and on-line with
companies.

What are your career goals? Use the Internet to find assessment, quizzes
and inventories to help you learn about yourself and suitable careers.

salaries, and future outlooks for targeted careers.

We have videos available on job searching skills, interviewing
techniques, career exploration, how to dress for the interview, and many
other topics.
We also have information on resumes and cover letters, filling out
applications, questions to ask and anticipate in an interview, starting
a career portfolio, area companies and business, and career and salary
statistics.
Strong Interest Inventory
Using ten areas of an individual's interests, the Strong Interest
Inventory matches those interests with possible careers and majors. This
assessment is given by appointment through the One Stop Career Center.
Cost is $25.00 to Jefferson State students, $35.00 to non-students
