Child Development Program
After An Associate Degree....
The goals of Jefferson State's Child Development Program are
to provide quality education and professional development for
our students; and to help each student attain his/her
educational goals from CDA-to certificate-to Associate Degree -
to Bachelor Degree-to Postgraduate Degree.
Students are encouraged at every educational milestone achieved to
continue towards the next educational step. Upon successful completion of
the Child Development Associate Degree, we encourage our students to
continue their education towards a Bachelor Degree at a 4-year institution.
Currently, there are "In-Field" Bachelor Degree programs in Alabama that
offer Child Development graduates, an opportunity to continue their
educational journey and to maximize transfer of their course credits. These
Bachelor degree programs have an understanding of our graduates and have
developed distance education opportunities to enable students to continue
their educational goals.
The number of bachelor degree programs articulating the Child Development
Associate degree continues to grow. Students are also encouraged to visit
other 4-year colleges of their choice and seek to maximize their college
course transfer.
