LPN 2 RN Mobility Program

The LPN to RN Mobility Program will begin Fall 2010 – Deadline for application is June 6th, 2010 at 4:30 pm (all materials are submitted to the Allied Health Advisors in Enrollment Services). You will need to fill out the LPN to RN Mobility Application and fulfill the requirements of the Check Sheet.

Students applying to the LPN to RN Mobility Program must:

  • Meet the same admission requirements as applicants to the Associate Degree (RN) program.
  • Hold a current Alabama Practical Nursing License
  • Provide verification of 500 hours of practice as an LPN within the last 12 months prior to admission.

Students are ranked for admission based on academic record and scores in standardized tests. Space available is limited.

Students who completed a LPN program in an Alabama Community College System institution within two years of application for admission will be eligible to apply for admission to NUR 201. Those who completed an LPN program more than 2 years prior to application for admission to Career Mobility or students who graduated from any other PN curriculum must complete NUR 200 (Nursing Career Mobility Assessment). Validation of theoretical knowledge and certain clinical skills will also be required.
