Our Mission - to improve the safety and health of workers and communities.

CLEAR's Workplace Safety Training program is committed to training first responders to respond safely and effectively to emergencies involving hazardous materials.
We provide grant funded training to CWA members, public safety personnel and Native American tribes. We also office limited fee-supported courses on an open-enrollment or contract basis. The program boasts full-time safety professionals, and over twenty years experience training workers.

Trainer Support Network

Click here for access to teaching materials  for our programs. If you plan to teach your peers the information you learn in one of our grant supported classes, you may have access to the training materials we use. All we ask from you is that you supply us with enrollment information using our Peer Training Report Form . We report these secondary training numbers to NIEHS, the organization that funds our programs. This ensures that these quality programs can continue to be offered.

• Emergency Responder Training Manual for the Hazardous Materials Technician - CLEAR is proud to announce the publication of our 5th textbook, the Second Edition of our Emergency Responder Training Manual for the Hazardous Materials Technician. This book builds on the success of our first edition, which continues to enjoy sales around the world. But that world has changed and the field of hazardous materials emergency response has changed as well. The second edition adds information and insights gained through 12 more years of experience in training and emergency response on the part of the authors. We also address the new realities brought on by September 11 and the increasing threat from terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. We feel that this new text will prove invaluable to any individual or training organization who prepares responders to safely respond to chemical releases.
