On-campus Classes For Individuals
There truly is something for everyone through the non-credit Community
Education Office. Anyone can register to take a non-credit class without
being admitted to JSCC. You can look to us to provide:
- Certificate Programs that lead to the skills needed to
obtain a job in a few weeks to a few months
- Continuing Education for professionals who require training
to maintain professional licenses such as nurses.
- Professional Skills Development such as computer
training, management training, leadership classes, Spanish,
etc.
- Personal Enrichment may lead to a new hobby, a second
language, or the accomplishment of some other personal goal.
- Accelerated Child Enrichment and College Prep
- Certificates of Completion are provided to all adult
students who successfully achieve the class learning
objectives and who attend at least 80 percent of the
instructional hours.
Certificate Requests/Verifications
Students who successfully complete a non-credit class are
presented with a Certificate of Completion. Student records
are maintained for five calendar years. If you completed a
program within the past 5 years, you may request for one
duplicate certificate to be mailed to you or to another
party. You will need to include the following information in
your request:
- full name at the time you were enrolled in the class
- the mailing address where you want the certificate
sent to
- your daytime phone number
- social security number
- date of birth
- dates of attendance
- name of the class
- your signature
Your signature is the legal release for us to mail your
certificate. Contact information is:

mailed within seven business days.
