Auditions for 2012-2013 Jefferson State Singers
will be held March 27, 29, 31, April 3,
5 and 6 for scholarships to go into effect for the Fall 2012
term. Appointment times are available during the day and
after school on the Tuesday/Thursday/Friday dates, and from
10:00 - 3:00 on Saturday. If you would like to audition,
call Mrs. Kaufhold at 856-7900 or e-mail her at
jkaufhold@jeffstateonline.com to set a 20-minute audition
appointment.
At
the audition, be prepared to sing one song that you feel
highlights the strengths of your vocal abilities. The student
will be led through vocal exercises to determine range,
voice part, and pitch-matching ability. Students will also
be led through basic ear-training exercises to determine
pitch memory and listening skills. For more information,

State Singers Scholarship Requirements
- The student must be selected by audition to participate
with the group.
- The student must enroll as a full-time student at Jefferson
State Community College.
- The student must have/maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- The student must remain in good standing with the college.
- The student must meet attendance requirements at rehearsals
and performances.
- The student must either read music or take the class (MUS
110) where that skill is taught.
