Alabama
Career Readiness Certificate
The Alabama Career
Readiness Certificate (CRC) is an assessment-based credential based upon
ACT WorkKeys assessments. WorkKeys assessments are a job skills
assessment system measuring “real world” skills that employers believe
are critical to job success. The skills are valuable for any occupation
– skilled or professional – and at any level of education. The CRC is
based upon three WorkKeys assessments: Reading for Information, Applied
Mathematics, and Locating Information.
Why earn the Career
Readiness Certificate?
The
Career Readiness Certificate verifies that you can handle the kinds of
tasks – finding information, reading instructions and directions, and
working with figures – that are common in today’s workplace.
The
Career Readiness Certificate is issued by the State of Alabama
Department of Workforce Development. The goal of this department is to
certify that Alabama workers have the basic skills necessary to compete
in today’s global workforce.
