What is verification?

Verification is a process where Jefferson State confirms the data reported on your FAFSA. The Federal processors select about 30% of our financial aid applicants to be verified. You may be contacted to submit documentation that supports income and other information that you reported on the FAFSA. It is important for you to submit the requested documents as quickly as possible. Financial aid cannot be completed until your information is verified.
