In an effort to assist students who do not have the financial resources to pursue post-secondary education, Jefferson State offers financial assistance in the form of grants, loans, jobs, and scholarships for those who qualify.

Financial aid need is determined by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA is available from high school counselors, the Jefferson State Community College Financial Aid Office or on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Help in filling out the financial aid application is available in the Financial Aid Office at JSCC.  Our office is located in the Allen Library at the Jefferson Campus and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday.  Priority is given to completed applications on file by May 1 prior to the beginning of the new award year, which begins in August.
