Funeral Service Education

Program Admission Requirements

  • Valid state board of funeral service apprenticeship.
  • Fifteen semester hours (25-quarter hours) of Funeral Service Education faculty approved English, math, speech, social science and humanities completed.

Students have two options for completion of the Program:

  • Four semesters, two days per week. (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
  • Four semesters, via Distance Learning instruction. (Orientations are mandatory for distance learning. Dates will be posted on the Jeff State web site and semester schedules)

Students must sign a contract for the option they choose. Click here to see sample contracts when entering the FSE Program in the fall semester or spring semester

Students must take the National Board Exam (NBE) to meet graduation requirements.
