Job
Functions:
1.
Professionally fulfill the role of nursing instructor in
clinical affiliates, including planning for clinical
experiences, developing patient assignments, and supervising,
instructing and evaluation students.
2.
Collaborate
with nurse faculty teaching in other program sites to revise
lecture notes and course materials to insure currency,
consistency, and compliance with departmental and/or college
formats or guidelines.
3.
Comply with
contractual requirements of clinical affiliates utilized for
assigned nursing course laboratories.
4.
Participate
in the regular evaluation of the nursing education program,
including self-studies and other activities to document program
status.
5.
Assist
program students with registration and advising.
6.
Assist in
maintaining nursing labs site and identifying supply and
equipment needs.
7.
Promote
effective working relationships among course faculty.
8.
Maintain
licensure as a registered nurse in good standing in the State of
Alabama, including compliance with mandatory continuing
education requirements.
9.
Maintain
current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the
health care provider level.
10.
Maintain
current professional liability insurance at the level of
$1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate annually.
11.
Assist in
the routine operation of the Department as requested.
12.
Participate
in Nursing Department Committees as assigned.
13.
Participate
in the orientation of new faculty as requested.
14.
Participate
in professional activities.
15.
Perform
other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
