Local Government Leadership Center
Government Employee Training
The Local Government Leadership Center (LGLC)
is a cooperative partnership between Jefferson State Community College
and local governments in the Jefferson State service area. The partnership
pools resources to provide more accessible and affordable training
opportunities for employees of area city and county municipalities.
Local area governments, through their appointed representatives on the
Curriculum Advisory Board of the Center, will help provide input and
assistance in planning educational opportunities. A range of approaches
may include seminars, skill workshops, and classroom instruction. Once a
local government joins and becomes a Member of the Center, employees may
enroll in other Jefferson State Continuing Education classes at a 10
percent discount. (Employees should check with their Personnel
Department for qualifications.)
