Construction & Building Science Program

You can build a career in Construction and Building Science as assistants to project managers, field engineers, schedulers, or cost estimators. Advancement opportunities for construction managers vary depending upon individual's performance and the size and type of company for which they work.

Students have hands-on experiences in the classroom and the community.

  • Handicap Ramp Project - The class assisted Disability Rights and Resources with the construction of a ramp for a person in need in Helena. Our department has committed to building one ramp every semester. This was out third ramp.
  • Geodesic Dome Project - This is a class project in our CMT 161 - Introduction to Sustainable Construction and CMT 101s - Construction Materials and Methods. We will be building one each semester for the foreseeable future.
