New Student Orientations
Welcome to Jefferson State Community
College!
1. Submit your application for admission
and all required official transcripts. Applications are available on
our website.
- High school graduates – Submit your
high school transcript showing date of graduation or your GED
transcript.
- Transfer students – Submit official
transcripts from all colleges previously attended.
- Students with a bachelor’s degree –
Submit only the transcript from the institution granting the
baccalaureate degree. However, if you are pursing a degree at
Jefferson State, you will need to submit transcripts from all
institutions attended.
- Transient students – Submit a
transient letter or official transcript to document course
prerequisites completed at other institutions prior to
enrollment in selected courses.
2. Take the Math and English Placement Test
prior to attending new student orientation. Refer to the testing
schedule for a listing of exemptions.
3. Attend New Student Orientation to learn more about Jefferson
State. During orientation you will have the opportunity to talk with
an advisor, register for classes, and pay your tuition and fees. You
will receive a personal invitation if your application is received
by Tuesday November 8, 2011. You may also register for New Student
Orientation by clicking the link below.
4. If you do not attend an orientation session,
you may register during
open registration.

Procedure to reserve your place at orientation by registering
online:
- Start by signing in to your student "My
JSCC Pipeline" account with your username and password.
(If you don't have a username, there are instructions on
how to get one at the sign in page.)

Select “Access your Online Services” link on the right side of the page.
- Select the “Personal Information” Tab.
- Click on “Answer a Survey.”Click on “Sign up for ORIENTATION.”Select the Date, Time, and Campus
location that
you would like to attend.
- Select “Survey Complete”
If you have not completed an application for admission then you will need
to do so first before registering for orientation.
