The purpose of the computer lab is to provide equipment and facilities in which JSCC students, faculty, and community members can develop computer skills and complete classroom assignments required for enrolled courses.

The Learning Success Center at the Jefferson campus consists of one open computer lab and one scheduled computer lab. The Learning Success Center at the Shelby campus consists of one open computer lab and two scheduled labs. The open labs allow students and community members to access computers and the internet. The schedule labs provide access to computers and the internet for faculty members to conduct laboratory and instructional learning experiences.What's in a Lab?
Computer labs include Microsoft Windows, laser printers, a wide variety of current software, and high-speed connections to the Internet. Additional resources include flatbed scanners; audio, video equipment, and student group collaboration.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Computer tutorials in math, English, science and reading.
- PLATO, can be accessed if a faculty member requests your enrollment into the tutorials.
- Software packages for computer programming, nursing and biology classes, taught at any Jefferson State site are loaded on specific groups of computers, as is multimedia software.

Students may drop in to use computer labs during available Open Lab hours :
Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Friday – 8:00 a.m. to noon
Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. –9 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
