TEAS V Nursing Entrance Exam
The Test of Essential Academic Skills version V (TEAS V) measures basic essential skills in the academic content area of reading mathematics, science and English and Language usage. The test is intended for use primarily with adult nursing program applicants. The objectives assessed on the TEAS exam are those which nurse educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level academic readiness of nursing program applicants.
All individuals preparing to take the TEAS V must create an ATI account. You create an account by going to ATI Testing website and click on create a new account then follow the screen prompts. You only need to register once. You will need your ATI username and password to take an online test. Please bring this information with you to the testing location. ALL tests MUST be scheduled through the ATI website. The testing office is unable to schedule the TEAS V.
The test is offered 2-3 times each month and 3-5 times a week as each
nursing application deadline approaches. During the registration process you
will have the option of viewing the specific dates the test is offered. The
TEAS V is offered at the Jefferson and Shelby Campuses. The test may be
repeated however one must wait 6 weeks before retesting and register again
through ATI’s website. Please plan accordingly and do not wait until
the last minute to register as space is limited and seats are filled
quickly. Also, one must take the TEAS V (version 5), as all other versions
are NOT accepted.
